Mermaid that grew legs
The concept describes how a creation is born. It reveals the effort behind the artist and his muse- an ephemeral entity that is hard to catch and easy to loose. The connection between the creator and muse is very often a frivolous one, both of them wanting to keep their own universe and space.
The Collection potentiate in a contemporary and aesthetic way the story behind Tim Walker’s ‘’The Muse’’.The artist consumes himself in his obsessive thoughts, being blind by the untouchable perfection. He tries to replace his muse with the memories of her, but the idea of a muse can never be separated by the idea of the ephemeral, as the mermaid can’t be separated by the idea of the infinite ocean. Mermaid that grew legs is build as a capsule collection for male, female or non-binary, represented by the idea that the muse can’t be contained in a gender.
